Will Anderson is running for Mayor because Milwaukie deserves a government that delivers; one that listens to residents, acts with urgency, and brings people together to make this city work for everyone who calls it home. These are the priorities that will get us there.

My PRIORITIES

LEARN MORE ABOUT

Housing We Can Afford

Milwaukie can't be the community we love unless people can actually afford to live here — renters, families, first-time buyers, and anyone putting down roots in this city.

Vibrant, Walkable Neighborhoods

Every Milwaukie resident deserves to live a short walk from the things they need. Whether that's a coffee shop, a corner store, or a place to gather, neighbors have been asking for these hubs for years, but outdated zoning and underinvestment have held too many neighborhoods back. Will is committed to changing that.

Stabilizing Milwaukie's Finances

Milwaukie is facing a fiscal cliff, but Will believes we can close the budget gap without gutting services or piling costs onto working families. We must be proactive and pursue revenue options that don't burden those of us who are already struggling with rising costs.

Safe and Clean Streets

Milwaukie should be a place where everyone feels safe, whether you are walking to school, biking to the store, or simply sitting on your front porch. That means addressing homelessness with real solutions, keeping our neighborhoods protected, and fixing the roads we all depend on.

A City Where Small Businesses Thrive

Milwaukie should be the easiest place in the region to grow a business. Our downtown is living proof of what a thriving local business scene can mean for a city. A thriving local economy doesn't happen by accident. It takes a city that removes barriers, invests in small businesses, and makes it easy to open, grow, and stay.

Invest in Our Parks

It's past time to fix Milwaukie's parks system. Residents pay into a regional district with little say in how their dollars are spent. Will is committed to negotiating a real governance solution, delivering Milwaukie Bay Park, and investing in parks in every neighborhood.

Growth That Works for Milwaukie

Will believes Milwaukie has legalized density without legalizing livability. Growth should add to our community, not diminish it. The city needs to do more to encourage the kind of growth that makes Milwaukie more livable.

Protecting Our Neighbors From ICE

Milwaukie needs a mayor who will stand up against the Trump administration's attacks on immigrants and make clear that this city is a welcoming place for everyone who calls it home.
